Ethicon, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Senior Marketing Manager, Global Strategic Marketing (GSM) - GI Leaks & S-Factors to be located in the Cincinnati, Ohio or Somerville, NJ location.
The Ethicon Biosurgery Platform provides a portfolio of proven solutions to address a range of bleeding and leaking situations - from routine to problematic -- during surgical procedures. These solutions can be used for open and minimally invasive procedures across broad range of specialties: cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, vascular, spine, neuro, GYN, urology, bariatric, plastic and general surgery. Our product portfolio includes proprietary oxidized regenerated cellulose hemostats; gelatin powder and sponges; a flowable hemostatic matrix; human thrombin, and fibrin sealants. Ethicon Biosurgery is a major growth platform within Ethicon, Inc., a trusted leader in surgical care and part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. The Senior Global Strategic Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading development and evolution of the Biosurgery Platform customer engagement portfolio architecture for the overall organization, working with multiple partners to drive greater clarity in the hemostasis/sealing market and improve global utilization. This role is also responsible for leading new product development efforts related specifically to colorectal procedures.
This role is also responsible for leading new product development efforts related specifically to colorectal procedures and solving for unmet needs related to gastrointestinal leaks. This includes the following: Development of a comprehensive, global, gastrointestinal leak strategy in partnership with the Endomechanical Platform, and others where applicable; Partner with R&D, New Business Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Regional Marketing & Sales and key customers in identify unmet needs; evaluation options; creating financial models; and providing direction for global growth opportunities; and Provide commercial input to the advancement of product concepts through the new product development process including providing insights and voice of customer, developing the business case, implementing target product profiles and leading product launch excellence.
This role will also partner with Regional Marketing and Sales to ensure flawless global implementation of propriety S Factor Customer Engagement Model and ongoing program development. Partner with R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Sales, Regional Marketing, Finance and key customers in planning, customer targeting; identifying unmet customer needs, and providing direction for global growth opportunities. Partner with R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Regional Marketing, to ensure all New Product Development is integrated into our Customer Engagement Model, validated by customer insights. Develop, recommend, and implement portfolio marketing strategies to maximize platform profitability globally. This person has the responsibility to reach financial targets within specified budgets and timeframes. This person will ensure applicable company compliance with all relevant country and regional requirements, company regulations, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
A minimum of a BS/BA Degree required, Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 8 years progressive business experience required, and a minimum of 4 years marketing experience is required; health care marketing experience preferred. Medical Device marketing and sales experience is highly preferred, previous regional in line marketing experience, and Global strategic marketing experience preferred. Experience with Marketing Excellence/Mastery, including Launch Excellence principles required. Experience in product development including needs assessment, portfolio management and product lifecycle management preferred. Proven ability to work in a Global matrix organization required. Excellent cross functional and management influencing skills and ability to develop customer relationships required. Experience with supply chain, global brand management, influencing a Medical Device sales force and new product launch preferred. Global cross-functional marketing or agency experience preferred; Healthcare/B2B background preferred; M&A integration experience preferred. This position may require up to 30% travel.
