This position is responsible for managing customer insights within the Global Business Insights Center of Excellence team (GBI), supporting the Global Strategic Marketing team. Position is responsible for managing and primary marketing research and strategic voice of customer gathering activities for the Global Strategic Marketing Organization. Position will serve as key representative on Insight teams, serving as a key partner for both the Global Strategic Marketing and US Marketing Teams. Role will work with the business teams to lead and guide customer insight activities, including but not limited to new product opportunity assessment, customer feedback for product development, and current marketplace position tracking. Role will require a high degree of business acumen and understanding, and must be able to proactively recommend tools and techniques to support for customer insights, and marketplace understanding needs across the business. Position will have responsibility for leading, prioritizing and executing customer insight projects and activities.

Demonstrate an ability to lead, create, implement and influence high-impact customer insight/Voice of Customer learning plans as well as execution of this work through the team. Provide advanced/expert knowledge of Marketing Research Methodologies (eg quantitative, qualitative, ethnography, etc) and Analysis. Partner with Business Insights Team to ensure high level of current customer understanding and external environment. Proven track record of performance that demonstrates strong leadership and ability to create and influence high-impact insight learning plans. Ability to lead data synthesis and integration to form recommendations and actionable insights. Demonstrate an ability to influence multiple stakeholders to ensure a high-level of team involvement in key business discussions. Support Business Insight Team in: Serving as a strategic advisor to Business to Lead with voice of customer information (eg market research) and customer insights; Flawless execution of all projects and activities to required to drive success of the business; Proactively providing fact based insights and analytics programs to address strategic business needs; Developing and implementing new innovative insights and business analytics tools, techniques and processes; Guide marketing plans and customer touch points to ensure programs are relevant to driving long-term growth; Provide foundational learning that helps to ensure that new products and programs are customer-centric and grounded in understanding of marketplace dynamics. This role also supports education and dissemination of existing knowledge estate and market information for key Business partners. Support Leader of Global Business Insights platform team in data integration to form the Business Knowledge Estate.
Qualifications
A minimum of a BS or BA in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics, or related field. MBA or MS is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in strategic insights, market research, business analytics or a related field is required. Experience in the medical device, hospital specialty, or healthcare field is preferred, but not required. Proven track record of performance that demonstrates both strong personal and team leadership. Proven track record of working in a matrix environment where a high degree of collaboration is needed. Proficiency in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint is required. Understanding of analytical and statistical tools (eg SPSS or SAS) is preferred.
Excellent proven personal and team leadership, collaboration, communication and analytical skills are required. Ability to support cross-functional teams. Ability to understand, translate and integrate customer insight/marketing research data tools and techniques into actionable insights to drive decision-making is required. Working knowledge of and experience with primary marketing research tools and techniques is required. Additionally, some knowledge of secondary data, competitive intelligence data, and strategic forecasting is preferred. Demonstrated success in creative problem solving and team partnership is required. Due to the nature of information reviewed in the role, candidate must demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills are required. Strong project management skills are required. Able to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint, and analytical tools (eg SPSS or SAS) is required.
