The Role: Pure Technologies, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Field Technician/Engineer in our Branchburg, NJ location.
The successful candidate will lead operations personnel in planning and field implementation of leak detection and condition assessment services; related to asset management of water and wastewater infrastructure.
General Responsibilities:
+ Develop operational knowledge of Pure?s proprietary technology platforms
+ Work as a member of the project delivery team to support, plan and execute our pipeline and infrastructure inspections
Project Planning:
+ Utilize pipeline plans and profile drawings, pipeline lay schedules (shop drawings), reports, inspection data and client?s contract to produce inspection planning documents, inspection reports; perform mathematical calculations (pipe slope, stationing, flow rates, velocity, pressure, head, etc); prepare and revise inspection planning documents and inspection reports for multiple technologies.
+ Organize and maintain a variety of files and records; work logically and systematically using effective time management skills.
+ Respond to questions and inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
+ Complete material requisitions for material and subcontractors. Complete and submit internal tool requests and coordinate with shipping department.
Project Execution:
+ Communicate status of project performance and schedule to stakeholders.
+ Schedule, coordinate, and review assignments of field support staff engaged in inspection related activities to ensure compliance with client/contract requirements.
+ Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed stakeholder expectations by following Pure?s standard operating procedures.
+ Provide technical assistance to staff in resolving problems.
+ Basic data and signal analysis of inspection results.
+ Preparation of daily inspection performance reports, safety report, project updates, etc.
Safety:
+ Ensure company?s safety program and goals are implemented and enforce proper safety procedures while working in hazardous situations.
+ Comply with rules, regulations, safe work habits and potential hazards presented by the work environment, including but not limited to working in confined spaces and roadway traffic.
+ Completion of eCompliance safety forms (JSA, Daily Safety Meeting, Confined Space Entry, LOTO, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
+ High School Diploma required
+ Technical associates degree or higher is an asset
+ 2-3 years field experience in infrastructure inspections and/or construction preferred
+ Experience with potable water or wastewater systems is an asset
+ Position requires significant travel. Must be keen and excited to travel.
+ Candidate should thrive within a team environment
+ Confined space entry and basic first aid certification are an asset.
+ Excellent mechanical aptitude
+ Ability to work outdoors in all elements
+ Ability to lift heavy (75 lbs+) items independently
+ Excellent time management skills with ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
+ Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
+ Successful candidates cannot have any restrictions on their driver?s license that prevent them from driving and being insurable on company-owned or rented vehicles

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
